You had me worried, Fred. Just found out about your stroke the other day. Now that your back at the bench, I'll just quit worrying and get back to my beer. Making a few pieces, laughing lots, kids are out of college, life is good. Art heals... I guess you know that better than I. How do you make it pay, though?

What a great image...Fred back to the bench! Can't wait to see that charm he's working on. Some lucky person will win that bracelet!

Blessings to you and your family :-)

Cheers,

Dear Fred,
Not so sure you will still remember me, but you were my professor way back in 1990 or so at New Paltz. Such a great inspiration. A friend emailed me your blog, so glad to hear you are doing well. I went on to get my MFA and now teach art to MS students here in New Paltz. Never forgot your smile and recently wore one of your pieces. Only hope I can be half the teacher you were.
Sincerely,
Kim Massa (now Sturgis)
married with four children
